Overriding a “Do Not Email” choice for transactional emails

To comply with spam laws and keep your customers happy, it is important to give people on your mailing list the option to opt-out from receiving emails from your facility. However, you still need to be able to email them from time to time about billing matters. Here’s how to instruct the system to disregard a member’s email preferences so that important billing emails get sent.

  1. In the Data Entry main window, click Manage and select Email System.
  2. Select the email you want to be able to send and click the Edit button.
  3. In the Email Template pop up window, check Send email regardless of customer’s DO NOT MAIL choice.
  4. Click OK to save, and Close to exit the Email System.
