Issues running Rock Gym Pro from a NAS drive

The Rock Gym Pro software expects its database to be hosted on a Windows computer connected via a LAN to the facility workstations. In addition, it has only been tested on the Windows version of MySQL. NAS devices run the non-Windows builds of MySQL, which has not been tested and may not be compatible with Rock Gym Pro.

In addition, the automated Rock Gym Pro offsite backup system also requires being run on the Windows computer that is hosting MySQL, which is not possible on a NAS device.

Because NAS drives run the non-Windows builds of MySQL, we can not recommend or support using an NAS Drive.
