Multiple Register
Hi Andy,
I have another question. We are going to have two "front desks", one for each part of our facility. How do I differentiate between the two when I am doing the reports on items sold and people checked in? We have all of our members and products in the shared database on the server.
Thank You!
Greg

or is each station their own "Front Desk"?
You can create "Registers" in Settings and assign each computer to be a register. Then the z-outs can be split by register.
But most gyms do not want two registers/cash drawers. Only the absolute busiest gyms need to the hassle of multiple cash drawers.
Instead, just run two computers connected to the same receipt printer and cash drawer. WAY easier.
Okay, that is what I needed.
We have two "separate facilities". The patrons enter the building through different sets of doors depending on what they are doing, or it wouldnt be a problem.
Thank You!
Another Question Andy...
Is it possible to customize the quick buttons for each register?
Thank You
No, it is not. Sorry.
Okay, one last question. I promise.
Is there a way to only allow check ins at one register for certain people?
Some of our members can use one side, but not the other.
Thank You
No there is not. I recommend you use the custom policies to indicate which side they can use. It won't alert, but it will still display on check-in.
Now I'm starting to feel like a pest...
Is there a way to differentiate between the check ins. When i check people in, they show up at both locations. When the reports are run, they would need to be per side. Is this some setting that can be changed, or a SQL report that could be designed?
Thank You so much.
There is no way to classify check-ins by workstation.
If these two accesses are so separate, perhaps each should have their own database?
Okay, I was begginng to think the same thing. Is there a way I can have two seperate databases, that share the same customers?
Not sharing the same customers, no.
Two databases can be linked and have *access* to each other's customers - but that isn't available in the free version of RGP. That would require the multilocation version of RGP.
Here's a somewhat dated video on how the multilocation version works:

Is it possible to unlock that with a one time fee?
No, it is part of the monthly program.
Hmmm... I will have to ponder this one over.
I guess the last thing to ask is about the check ins. Is there a way to pull a check in report for specific times of the day, and be able to sort them by tags connected to their account?
Thank You
A custom report could be generated for that. One time fee of $250 to produce each report.
hope this helps
Great! Would that be just one report, or would it have to be two separate reports?
Depends. Send an email to support @ rockgympro.com with a mockup of the report you would like in Excel.
Will do Andy!
Thank you for all of your help!
Countless hours later, still working on this...
Now that I have decided to go with two databases, is there a way to "backup" and "restore" the names into the second database so I don't have to retype all 400 of them again? Or would it not let me change the name of it when I restore it?
Thanks Andy!
There is not built in support for transferring customers. It can be done, but it would be a standard data migration for RGP ($250, one time). Note that this could only be one time and could not be used to keep the databases in sync.
