iPad performance in new iOS
We have a waiver station with fairly old iPads (iPad 2). Unfortunately, we continued to update the iOS through 9.3-ish.
The waiver station continues to hang up and we're looking for a good fix. So my question: is the software causing the issues (iOS) or hardware (old iPads with large/new updates)?

Both are killing it :)
That being said, the issue is also typically wifi related and performance. We had gyms struggling with the same issue and they ended up hard wiring the iPads (google solutions for this) and the problem went away. That being said, I am not sure you can hard wire iPad 2s.
Thanks, Andy.
I'lll look into the hardwire solution. I did see that posted in an earlier thread, may try to see how that works.
As for compatible devices, I vaguely remember reading the waiver stations are MOST reliable on iPads. But would they work with Android/Windows tablets?
We don't test on Android/Window tablets, and don't plan to - so I have no idea... sorry.
Can anyone comment on minimum storage spec for the ipad stations. I'm searching for refurbished iPads and wondering if the 16GB iPad Air would suffice. Is there any need for 32GB??
16 GB will be fine.
