Birthday Party - Offering Options

Hi.

We're starting to set up our booking system - what is the best way to set up offerings which have options?

For example:

We currently have 3 birthday party options - Gold, Silver and Bronze which can be for <6, 7-12 or 13-18 children.

Bronze and Silver parties are 60 mins.
Gold is 90mins

Birthday parties tend to be Saturday or Sunday at 3pm or 4pm slots. We can't offer all three at each time as we may end up double booked - if thats makes sense (can only do one party at at time).

Are there other options except:
-Changing our packages to only offering 1 party option?
-Customers having to contact us for booking.

Thanks

  • Yes, you can build this - but it will require two offerings because of the 60/90 minute time differential.

First... you can control concurrency by creating a "party room" resource and having all your birthday party offerings share the resource and only allow ONE concurrent booking on the resource (max bookings of 1 for the resource)

For the Silver/Bronze package, I'd have use one offering for both and have the price rule compute the appropriate price based on the participant count.

For the gold package, you'll need a different offering since the course is longer. It would also have a price rule based on participants.

Alternately you could have three different offerings if you want to market/describe them differently.

Regardless - all these offerings should consume the resource mentioned above to limit concurrency.

  • Hi Andy,

This makes sense. Thank you. Will let you know how we get on.

  • I will suggest you to offer up to date services for first few parties and after getting famous you will automatically start getting hired. My friend also own couple of Boston restaurants which are also listed https://eventup.com/venues/boston-ma/ and he also opted for the same option.
