Guest Passes
Hello,
I just downloaded your software and I am trying to see how it fits with the way our gym is structured. Currently, we do not offer guest passes to all members, just members with certain memberships. Is there any plan to or way to customize this better then the current options??

At this time we don't have any plans to extend the guest pass functionality. There are just too many other pressing priorities... sorry.
Many gyms take the migration to RGP as an opportunity to evaluate (and often simplify) their various business offerings :)

Hi,
What are the downsides to bypassing the built-in guest pass functionality, and just creating a product with a negative value (negative number with our day pass price) called "Guest Pass", which gets added at the POS (and we of course, also add a day pass, which nets the transaction at $0.00)?
This above approach would still let us track how many guest passes are used, it just won't help us track whose membership was associated with the transaction (and how many have been used from that member). Is there an accounting issue (or anything else) I am overlooking?

There would be no accounting issues with your suggestion. It would work fine. You could also just have a $0 product for the Guest Pass and check the box for "Extra Info" and write in the member's name.
