Processing Manual CC Authorizations
Ran into an issue this afternoon when attempting to process a CC that required pre-authorization from the card issuer. The Merchant Portal for X-Charge is different from the integrated merchant processing features of RGP.
Solution required we login via web browser to the online portal (different credentials than RGP X-Web settings in Data Entry), access their virtual terminal, and proceed with 'offline' capture transaction type. Apparently all RGP CC transactions are processed 'online'. Not sure what the technical differences are. Thought it would be beneficial to have this documented for future issues others might experience.
Would also like to see an offline/pre-auth option in POS tender screen > External/Manual CC Mode, if at all possible.

Thanks for sharing this experience. It is the first time I've heard this was required. It is unlikely that an offline/pre-auth option will become available as it seems to be a VERY rare event and would also require substantial development effort.
The "online" processing note refers to the fact that XWEB is actually an online processing method and does not effect the transaction.
