Requirments for the RGP POS system. Looking to switch over...
Hello,
I Manage a local climbing gym and we use an old style register for all of our business however we would like to eventually switch over and use the POS function of RGP. Some questions I have are..
1. What extra things would need to be purchased for this change over? I assume we will need to purchase a drawer, scanner etc.
2. Will we have to change our credit card system we currently have. We currently can accept all cards and have no minimum payment that we can take.
3. Anything else that we should know before going for it.
I watched some videos on how the system works but were just curious on how to make the change.

You can absolutely keep your existing payment terminal for POS transactions if it is a standalone terminal. For recurring membership billing, you'll need to signup with OpenEdge but you can use them just for integrated membership billing... or optionally also decide to use OpenEdge for POS transactions as well. Your choice.
