iPad 2 waiver stations - stick with iOS7
As many of you are probably aware, Apple recently released iOS 8.
Unfortunately, iOS8 performs very poorly on iPad 2s. The Safari browser, in particular, runs very slowly and this can impact your waiver stations if you are running iPad 2s.
This issue is not related to Rock Gym Pro and is just the result of a bigger operating system running on older hardware.
If you are running iPad 2s for your waiver stations, we strongly recommend NOT updating to iOS8. You should continue running iOS 7 indefinitely.
iPad 3s or later perform fine with iOS8, so if you are running those later model iPads you can update the operating system if desired.

Is there a solution for this? 2 of our ipads are ios8 and are basically unuseable as a waiver station. The main problem being the data entry in the waiver form is extremely laggy and sometimes locks up. This only happens in the RGP waiver form.
I'd love a solution or a sure fire way to downgrade.
Thanks
This is a well documented issue with iPads 2 and iOS8 that is unrelated specifically to RGP.
You might try a different browser such as Opera or Chrome on the iPad 2 as a solution.
Here is a thread on Apple referring to iOS8.1. Have you upgraded to that?

Thanks for that link Andy.
I went ahead and updated to the newst ios(8.1.2), cleared all web history and cache (settings>safari>clear history and website data), and it seems to be better.
I'll report back here as time goes on.
As an update - our ipads updated with the most current iOS are running fine. Much better than the early versions of iOS8
I'm hearing continued reports that the latest iOS8 update solves the problem... but Kiosk Pro is still buggy thus we recommended Safari + Guided Access (that's a kiosk mode built into the ipads)
