MySQL breaks/changes stuff between releases, thus exhaustive testing would be required. Plus there are no major enhancements in the later versions that justify the effort at this time (at least with regard to the scope of MySQL that RGP uses).
It might be something for the 2015 schedule, but at this time (relative to other priorities) I just can justify applying effort to that item.
