Trend Micro Antivirus / MySQL issues

I have confirmed that Trend Micro Antivirus does not work properly with MySQL.

If you using Trend Micro Antivirus and are experiencing errors indicating RGP or MYSQL cannot write to your temp directory, this is a problem with Trend Micro incorrectly flagging MySQL's temp virus as problem files.

I recommend uninstalling Trend Micro and switching to a different Antivirus. I use ESET and have experienced no problems. http://www.eset.com/us/
