Centre Memberships (Uk centre running on mac via parrallel)

Hi,

We're new to RGP and so far so good, but a few questions!

Our Gym operates a member/non-member tariff. Annual Membership costs £10 for which the member then has access to cheaper peak/off peak prices and packages e.g. eg 10 climbs, monthly passes and our 12 month payment plan.

Our annual membership is currently being entered as a prepaid membership. Is this the best way to do this as when someone one purchases the membership it also 'checks them in'.

I have more questions.... one about 10 climb punch cards (like why the system doesn't automatically deduct per check in?) and id also like advice on how to set up our monthly payment plan as i doubt EFT will work here in the UK especially as we are running via parrallel.

finally, how do i set up a month pass so it alerts when expired?

Kind regards

Mike Surtees

  • Hello Mike,
As far as the membership process goes a prepaid membership is just that- prepaid. You would configure the membership settings in Data Entry->Manage->Settings- Membership tab
Rock Gym Pro (RGP) should deduct a visit from a punch card when the customer Checks in.
Have you configured your punch card settings? Data Entry->manage->settings- Customer tab.

Have you taken a look a the RGP Deployment Guide and RGP Video tutorial page? Here is the link for the RGP Deployment http://www.rockgympro.com/?page_id=165 , and the last 5 pages of the guide give an overview of memberships, operational flow and configuring your settings.
The video tutorials are a great resource to understanding how to set up RGP: http://www.rockgympro.com/?page_id=391

    Thank you,
    Amy

  • Mike,

If you have your customers on a prepaid membership and they have a punch card in RGP, the punch card is for their "guest". To get the punches to come off when checked in, the customer can not be a member in RGP as well.

To make your payment structure work with RGP, make the customer a punch card holder, and give them a subtype of member. Add a note to their account with a check-in alert to come up about a week before their "membership" expires.

If they buy a monthly pass or a 12 month payment plan, then make them a member in RGP based on those criteria.

Make the $10 membership fee a product and allow it to only be sold to a customer (no anonymous sales).

We do a the same thing with a women's Class we offer.

My understanding is that EFT only works in the US, and maybe Canada now. Use a separate system for EFT. Your bank should be able to either provide the service or point you in the right direction.
