Star Micronics Receipt Printers

I've heard that many gyms are using Star Micronics Receipt Printers, which RGP does not offer full support for. If that is you, Andy has added a feature that will help enable the missing/unsupported features of your receipt printer:

How to enable:
Logo printing on the header of your receipt
Auto-Cutter (so that the printer cuts the receipt for removal after printing)

This specifically works for the Star TSP600 Thermal Receipt Printer:

**Enable logo printing on header of your:
Step 1: Install logo into Star TSP600 Thermal Receipt Printer memory
-Go to Word or some word processor
-Paste your logo into the document
-Print your logo to the Star TSP600 Thermal Receipt Printer
-Adjust logo and reprint until it looks the way you want it to on your receipt.
-It is now stored in the memory of the printer (probably under Logo store 001)

Step 2: Enable logo printing in RGP
-At the computer that prints your receipts:
Go to Data Entry --> Settings --> This Workstation
-Under Register / Cash Drawer Settings --> Pre Printing String
Enter: 27+28+112+001+48
-Press Test String and your logo should print
-This is the code that enables logo 001 to print
If when installing the logo into memory in Step 1, the test/confirmation logo that printed had a different number next to it (other than 001), then replace the 001 in the Pre Print String with that different logo store number.
-Anytime RGP prints to your receipt printer from that workstation, the logo print code will trigger the logo to print prior to printing the receipt. Viola! Your logo is now on the top of each receipt!

**Enable Auto-Cutter (so that the printer cuts the receipt for removal after printing):
-At the computer that prints your receipts:
Go to Data Entry --> Settings --> This Workstation
-Under Register / Cash Drawer Settings --> Post Printing String
Enter: 27+100+48
-Press Test String and your Auto Cutter should trigger
-Anytime RGP prints to your receipt printer from that workstation, the Auto Cutter will trigger after the receipt prints.

There are many other codes/functions of the Star Printers, so you can customize the way your receipt printer functions. Also some of the codes are different for each model, so if you have an different model (other than the TSP600), there may be different codes that you must enter for the logo printing or the auto-cutter.
