Pro rated dues

Hey all,
I am running into an issue with prepaid members trying to convert to EFT members before their prepaid membership expires. The "prorated dues" seems to be set from the date the product is rung up and does not have any flexibility. I do not want to short change the customer for the time on their prepaid membership, but I also do not want to let a sale go by saying "wait until you expire." My current work around is to have the staff manually figure out the proration from the member's current prepaid expiration to the next bill date. This is a messy work around that is prone to errors. Anyone else having this issue? Any other suggestions? Will their be any support for making the "pro-rated dues" have an option to prorate from a specific date?

  • Hey that's a great idea and we will add it to the feature request list! The prorating is based on your bill date which you selected in Data Entry->Manage->settings-Membership.
    In the interim, you could to use an Excel spreadsheet at the front counter and have two columns- one for the dates 1-31 and the other for the EFT cost per day. Then convert the prepaid memberships to EFT and bump their bill date out, or not, based on the prorated rate. If you have any further questions, or this is unclear, please let me know
