Issue credit without CC on file?
How can I issue credits to people who don't have a credit card on file? I sell gift cards online and those are processed through Paypal, so I want to take the amount they buy there and apply it in RGP.

You don't issue a credit to their account, you want to issue them a gift card once they bring in confirmation of paying online.

Forgive me I am a bit confused. Isn't that still zero dollars going into your system? If I sell something online and collect through PayPal, how do I transcribe that information without something to label it (like a PayPal button) or a check in hand (which usually takes days and is a lump sum of what you've sold online anyways). We can keep up with this in Quickbooks but we would also like to log this into RGP.

Yes, it is ZERO dollars and that is the point. You've already accepted payment online. You don't want to record the payment in RGP, you just want to record the credit of the gift card. Try it and it will make sense (and look at the z-out).
Alternately, if you really want it as a payment in RGP, you can use the Alternate Payment Types in Settings to create an "Online Payment" option.
