Manager only product option

I was looking into and thinking about different things that we do not like desk staff to do and came up with what I think is a good idea. Under Products; edit product; add'l options, a Manager use only option. This would allow only managers to use/sell these certain products. Let me know what you think or if this is a feasible option.

Certain types of products that need changes in prices. Deposit items or perhaps even tax exempt products.
Could be sales of gear for staff, if they go through your till. That would stop staff drom buying their own gear out of stock, if a manager did not want to allow that. Of course you could tell by looking at who made the sale.
