Point of Sale PIN

Is there a way to disable the PIN for Point of sale transactions?

We only have one cashier on a drawer, and our customers all come at once.

So if we have to type in the pin with every transaction, it will add a lot of time.

Thanks!

  • No, and eventually you will appreciate this requirement. Even if you only have one cashier at a time, they may change at a shift and if the pin wasn't required there is a chance the first person wouldn't have "logged out" and the transactions would be recorded to the incorrect staff member.

  • We only use the POS in small bursts, always with the same cashier. I wouldn't mind the feature if we didn't have a line out of the door, but since we do, having to type it in for all 200 people in a 20 minute period will be too much.

I would want the pin for changing shifts and drawers, just not for every transaction.

    Thanks!

  • Typing in a 4 digit pin takes about 1 second for a typical staff member once they are used to it, thus I don't think this will amount to a significant bottleneck. RGP is used in very busy facilities and the PIN does not create an issue.

  • Okay, I guess it wouldn't if she gets used to "computers".

I have a couple other questions regarding pricing, could I email you?

    Thanks!
