Vary participant numbers across different event instances

Hi, we currently run kids climbing courses 5 times a week. The course is the same whenever you book it, but the number of available spaces differs depending on which day you book onto. For example, on a Monday afternoon we have 10 available spaces, but on a Saturday morning we have have 20 available spaces and put on extra instructors to accommodate.

I'd like to have a single event type in the online booking calendar so that customers get the full choice of slots available, but to the have the number of available spaces differ by day. Is this possible? If not, can you think of a clever workaround? We're not planning on using the assigned instructor functionality in RGP, in case that makes things easier (I can see that could be an issue otherwise).

At the moment my best solution is to set the number of spaces to 10 and schedule two simultaneous courses on a Saturday morning, but it's not perfect. Alternatively, could I make 20 the default group size, and block out 10 places as unavailable to book on a Monday afternoon?

  • Update: think I've found the setting I was looking for, it's the "Event Modifications" button accessible through the main calendar window, where I can change participant numbers for that one specific event.

    Is it possible to access those settings from the Manage Schedule part of the system, so that I could make these adjustments while populating the schedule (rather than having to come out of Manage Schedule first?). Would be useful.

  • The only spot to edit that is specifically when managing the event in the Manage Event window. I isn't available in the Manage Schedule since that doesn't deal with specific event management, sorry.
