MySQL error

I'm getting some funky behavior with my multigym setup. Just received the following error:

exception of type 'system.outofmemoryexception' error was thrown.

Microsoft knowledgebase speaks about it, but it seems vague.

Any help?

  • These errors are resulting from your VPN connection going up and down. I looked at our error logs (RGP reports errors to "home base") and they are occurring in the check-in engine during periods of VPN instability. If possible, I'd investigate the sources of your VPN instability.

    Hope this helps

  • Thanks Andy, that matches what I was seeing. The check-in module was not playing nice with customers from the other location.

  • Andy - would those reports be beneficial for my IT guy to help diagnose any VPN issues?

Also, is there a limit to the number of workstation PC's that can be connected to a server PC? We can sometimes have up to 5 workstations, I wonder if this could be causing some lag?

  • The reports would not help your IT person. Your VPN hardware should have comprehensive logs built into them that are viewable with a web browser by logging into the gateway IP address.

We have facilities with 20+ workstations at each location thus if there is a limit, it is not on the server, but there may be a limit of your VPN hardware. More than likely though this is just a flaky internet connection. No internet = no VPN.
