Advanced Status options - freeze

Hi Andy,

I've been trying to test whether we can use the advanced status option to automatically unfreeze customers after a certain time period. Can you confirm whether doing this will extend the end date of their prepaid plan. On my test case it didn't appear to work, but I'm not sure because I forgot to note what the original end date of the prepaid plan was. It takes a few days to actually test this feature so I thought it would be quicker to just ask you.

  • No it does not, by design. Advanced Status change simply modify the status change, with no additional side effects.

    If you know the end date of the freeze, what not just modify the end-date of the membership when the freeze is established.

  • OK- thanks. That's good to know.
    The reason is that we don't want customers to have frozen memberships for years and years so our current policy is that after 8 months we will reinstate their membership and it will run on until it expires.
    We may use the opportunity of migration to rethink this ;-)
