waiver stations

Is there any reason why the signature pad is required for the in gym waiver station?
My attorney states that a 'doodled' or 'typed' signature is sufficient. Just thought I could save the $700 (2 signature pads)

  • No, they are not required. You can use the typed or doodle signatures within the gym if you (and your legal council) are comfortable with it. Some gyms are doing exactly this.

  • Andy how can I eliminate the the touch option and have them just type their signature every time?

  • The default is the touch option. If you want a signature there is the option, but the customer would have to select Type Signature. This was a popular customer request to have the signature default to Draw your signature. Is there a particular reason the draw your signature isn't working for your facility?

  • Is there a way to default to type initials vs doodle initials?

  • On the Ipads, not that I can think of. And just curious, why?

  • Just an effort to speed up the process. Sometimes the ipads get real laggy, especially when drawing initials. Typing is more than acceptable (I know thats selectable)

The number one complaint in our facility is the waiver process. Just looking for ways to streamline.

  • The iPads getting laggy is because of a crappy iOS update in the late fall. The best suggestion seems to be to shut down the iPads in the evening and restart them in the morning....
