Quick View of Customers in Recent Check In Tab
Hi Andy,
Little bug (?) I found. When using the POS module, if you're assigning a sale to a customer, you can right click the recently used customers and you get a very convenient quick view of the customer including their photo, but when you do the same from the recent check in tab, that quick view isn't there. Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see if it is easy to add.
Nice little feature!
Your suggestion made me realize that the Select Customer window should have a photo by default, thus in the next update there is no a photo in that window. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks Andy.
clients often want to know before they pay if they have any punches left - how much time is left on their pass, etc. The new sign in does not give that info. Will this be in the update? OR do i not know how to use the system properly.
Basically the person scans their member card right into the pos but we don't get any details until after the transaction has taken place. Is this correct or am I missing something?
If a member or punch card holder wants to know what remains on their account, just swipe their card into the check-in window. After checking them in, it displays punches remaining and the expiration date. If you then complete a transaction and check them in again, the old check-in will automatically be deleted.
Alternately you can just quickly look them up in POS.
The new POS check-in system is after the transaction is completed, by design,
I have a question on this.
We have a Power Hour reduced rate climbing after 9:30. Now when someone with a punch card comes in and wants to pay for PowerHour instead of using a punch:
1. They scan - get a punch deducted
2. Pay for a PowerHour pass
3. Then we manually go back and credit the punch.
If after checking in we sell them a PowerHour at POS (not anonymously) will the deleted punch check-in be reversed and the punch remaining be correct?
If the staff member actively performs another check-in, the punch will be deducted. But punches aren't deducted automatically for POS transactions unless the check-in is processed as part of the quick action window that you may have configured. But even there the staff member must actively check-in the customer.
Sorry, I'm not clear on this answer.
Is there a way to check someone in by selling them a (reduced cost) day pass and not have a punch deducted?
If you check-in a punch customer, a punch will be debited. Thus, in this particular situation "removing" the debited punch is the correct operation.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way we handle this is:
Pull the Customer up in POS.
Sell them a Day Pass (or PowerHour)
On the quick check-in POS screen, check the box next to their name.
When prompted with the question "should a punch be deducted for this check-in?" we say no.
They're now checked in without using a punch.
Listen to Kenneth, he's right and I was wrong :)
