Creating a Text Box in a Waiver Form

The text field is the main field you’ll be using to capture information in your digital waiver. Here we’ll look at the settings you’ll need to make to create a text field in a waiver form.

  1. To get started, create a new text field, selecting Text Box from the drop-down menu.
  2. In the Edit Form Field window, fill in the following fields:
  • Size: This will determine the height of the box. 30 is the default.
  • Subtitle: Add a subtitle if applicable
  • Customer Target: Select where you would like this information to be stored in the customer record from the dropdown menu if applicable
  • Document Field: Enter the placeholder field name you would like on the document. The name must be formatted with double brackets like so: {{homephone}} {{parentname}} {{dateofbirth}}
  • Is Required: Check the box if this information is required. That way the form will not be accepted if this field is left blank.
  • Default Value: Enter a value you would like the form to be filled in if applicable.

3. Click OK to save the text field.

4. Click OK to save the form and then Close to exit the Waiver Management window.
