The RGP Cloud is a simple way to access the RGP software without actually installing the software and a database. With RGP Cloud, you access your database and RGP information via a "Thin Client" from a Windows computer - similar to Remote Desktop.
Below are a few tips and tricks to use when using RGP Cloud:
-
Copying/Pasting Files
If you need to transfer files to/from your RGP Cloud desktop and your local computer, you can simply highlight the file by clicking on it and then copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V).
-
Terminating a Task
When you're using a PC and a screen freezes or "hangs", you would normally click Ctrl+alt+delete to open the Task Manager and then terminate the task. When you're using the RGP Cloud host and an RGP task freezes, this method will only open the Task Manager on your local computer, and not the RGP Cloud host.
There are two methods you can use to open the Task Manager when using RGP Cloud:
1) Ctrl+alt+end and then select Task Manager
2) Right mouse click on the clock in the lower right of your screen, and then select Task Manager
Once the Task Manager is open, find the RGP process, right mouse click, and select END.
