Unfortunately, I have not received full confirmation - but I also haven't had any reports of it not working. I recommend trying a card and then voiding the transaction as a test.

Just move the next bill date +3 months ahead if the customer has already paid for the first three months. They won't be billed until that date, and then will be billed after that date.

That still won't make it automatic. After the prepaid expires the customers will have a termination status on them and will need to be made "OK" for billing to commence.
