I don't have any recommendations beyond Kiosk Pro or Guided Access. Sorry. I imagine there are many many kiosk apps out there.. but obviously any app adds a layer of possible bugs, etc.

I was just told that if you use guided access with the Chrome Browser on the iPad... they can't use the pinch feature. I haven't personally tested this though...
