Overview of the charting system categories

The charting system allows you to create charts using a wide variety of data. In this article we’ll look at each category. To access the charting system, in the Data Entry main window click Reporting and then select Charting and Data Visualization. The categories can be found on the left side of the screen.

Sales By Account
In this folder you will see two pie charts: Revenue and Quantity. If you click Revenue it will display a chart of your total revenue over the selected time period, while Quantity will display the total number of products sold. You can click either to expand the menu and see what subcharts make up those revenue numbers. This includes:

  • Accounting
  • Closeout Adjustment
  • Day Use
  • Events
  • Gift Cards
  • Membership
  • Misc
  • Petty Cash
  • Programs
  • Rentals
  • Retail
  • Tax

Some of these charts may have subcharts themselves, such as the Retail chart having subcharts of Shoes, Shirts, Harnesses, etc.

Sales By Vendor
In this folder you will be able to see revenue and quantity sold measured by vendor. Each vendor can then be subdivided into the specific products.

POS Sales By Hour
This folder contains charts that let you see the amount of revenue or quantity of products sold in POS by the hour it was sold. This is useful for analyzing your peak times to figure out when you are most profitable or need to reallocate staff.

Customers
This folder contains charts that let you see the total number of customers in your database or just the new additions to your database over a period of time. You can also break this down by any subtypes you track.

Employees
This folder allows you to track the total hours your employees have clocked over a period of time. This can be broken down by job type.

Memberships
This folder contains charts that allow you to see the daily average and monthly totals of memberships. You can also review new memberships or terminations. This can be broken down by subtype.

Tags
This folder contains charts that let you review the promotional sources your staff are tagging as how new customers are finding out about your facility. This can help you track the effectiveness of your marketing over time.

Visits/Check Ins
This folder contains charts that allow you to see the total number of visits, visits by members only, your daily average and member guest passes. You can also see the total number of visits by hour or the hourly average.
