How to set up RGP Daily Maintenance to run automatically overnight through Windows Task Scheduler - Locally Hosted Server

Why you would want to do this:
If your facility has a locally hosted server there is a daily task RGP does when it's first opened in the morning called RGP Daily Maintenance. As your RGP database grows the longer you are open, the daily maintenance task takes longer to complete. If Daily Maintenance is running while you are attempting to open and check people in you could see errors or issues with Daily Maintenance finishing. There is an open/solution to schedule Windows to automatically run the Daily Maintenance task through the Windows Task Scheduler program in the early morning before you open to mitigate issues.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you get started:
Before you can create a Windows Task in the Task Scheduler, you have to have a password for the Windows user account creating the task. Windows will ask for your Admin Password after you have created your task. Therefore, before beginning the process, please make sure you have created a Windows password for your user account. This is the Windows password you enter to log on to your computer.

If you change the Windows user account password you have to change your password in the Task Scheduler, or your RGP backup Task will not run. All you have to do is reopen your established RGP Offsite Backup Task and then click OK to close the task and Windows will prompt you for your new password.

How to set up:
To open the Windows Task Scheduler, go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools >Windows Task Scheduler. Click Create a Basic Task. Name the task RGP Daily Maintenance with your choice of description then click Next

Click Daily
Click Next
Select a time for your backup to run. Make sure it’s at least 2 hours after your RGP backup time is scheduled so you don’t have both tasks occuring at the same time. You can move your back up time earlier if needed. Many gyms run their back up immediately after they close for the evening.

Then click Next

Click Start a Program then Next

then Browse and select Program Files (86x) Rock Gym Pro > RockGymPro.exe

Add Argument:  /maintenance  /random_minute_delay:5
This is how the backup file path will look:

Click Next
* Be sure to click the Open Properties Dialog box for this task BEFORE you click Finish. *

The Properties Tabs should have the following boxes checked in the screenshots that follow:

General

Conditions

Click OK.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Test:
Now click Run to test the daily maintenance task before closing the Task Scheduler window. Highlight the RGP Daily Maintenance task then click Run. This may take a while to complete, you may need to click Refresh to ensure it has completed the task.
