Rock Gym Pro Pricing Changes - January, 2017

Rock Gym Pro has come a long way since it was developed nearly 10 years ago. What started out as a solo project to run a single climbing gym has turned into robust, feature-rich software used by facilities around the world. Today over 500 businesses rely on RGP to run their daily operations and over $1M is processed through the software – each day!   Last year we processed over $300,000,000 in transactions for facilities worldwide.

As the number of customers have grown, so too has the product. In just the last three years we’ve released dozens of software updates with countless new features. Some of the more beneficial features released in the past few years include the Online Booking and Calendar System, Online Gift Cards, Mobile Dashboard, the Online Membership Change Request Form, EMV Chip and Pin credit card processing, Revamped Charting including Multigym Charting, and Real-Time Backups.

Through all of these changes, one thing has remained constant: a steadfast commitment to you to develop and maintain the most powerful management and POS software on the market. Because of this commitment, we will never stop improving and innovating. However, at our current (and projected) business levels, this development will require a significantly larger investment of time, resources and money.

We announced last week, that in order to continue delivering a stellar product, it was necessary to move beyond our current two-person team. We now have seven talented folks working on Rock Gym Pro!  With these added resources we do need to increase prices – something we haven’t done in many years (beyond annual inflation adjustments).

Please know that much thought and consideration went into our new pricing model. Not only are these pricing adjustments necessary to move RGP forward, we feel that these new prices more accurately reflect the value of the software compared to other products currently on the market.


Here’s how Rock Gym Pro’s pricing model will look moving forward 

  • Current Customers: For customers currently on Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 Support plans, all new pricing will take effect on August 15, 2017. New pricing will automatically be reflected on your August 15 invoice.
  • New Customers: For new users that have not yet installed RGP, all new pricing will take effect on March 15, 2017.

Only the names and pricing of the plans are changing. All features within the current plans will remain the same. Please visit the Pricing Page for a detailed chart of included features.

FOR USERS CURRENTLY USING THE FREE VERSION OF RGP

New Name: Free Trial
Formerly Free Version

The current Free Version of RGP will now be a six month Free Trial. The Free Trial allows users to evaluate the software with limited features, free for six months. At the end of the six month trial, users can choose to continue using RGP by selecting a paid plan with premium features.

For everyone using the free version of Rock Gym Pro, you can continue evaluating the software through August 15, 2017. On August 15, you can continue using RGP by choosing a paid plan with premium features.

New Users:
For new users that wish to evaluate Rock Gym Pro, the trial period will last six months from the date the software is installed.
