Overview of sales reports

The Rock Gym Pro reporting function allows you to run a variety of sales reports. Here is an overview of the standard sales report options, not all reports are listed. The reports list grows with RGP software updates, and below is a partial list.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Reporting and then select General Reports to open the Reporting window.
  2. Under the Standard Reports tabs, choose from one of the following sales reports:
  • Sales- All Products: Click Generate Report and choose if you want to generate the report by Invoice Date or Payment Date, and if you wish to include Sales Tax in the report.
  • Sales- All Products Ranked (Dollars): This report only shows collected sales and is based on payment date, which can differ from the Sales Report showing uncollected sales based on invoice date.
  • Sales- All Products Ranked (Quantity): This report only shows collected sales and is based on payment date, which can differ from the Sales Report showing uncollected sales based on invoice date.
  • Sales- Inventory: Click Generate Report and choose if you want to generate the report by Invoice Date or Payment Date. You can then also then choose to filter the report by vendor.
  • Sales- Inventory Ranked (Dollars): This report only shows collected sales and is based on payment date, which can differ from the Sales Report showing uncollected sales based on invoice date.
  • Sales- Inventory Ranked (Quantity): This report only shows collected sales and is based on payment date, which can differ from the Sales Report showing uncollected sales based on invoice date.
  • Sales- At POS by Employee: Click Generate Report to choose whether or not you include uncollected sales in the report.
  • Sales- Product(s) by Day: Click Generate Report and then select the specific products you wish to run a report for. This report will only show collected sales for those specific products.
  • Sales- By Customer Ranked: This report only shows collected sales.
  • Discounts at POS: Display any transactions that were given discounts.
  • Transaction Memos: Display only transactions that had memos added by staff.
  • Stripe Online Payment Reconciliation Report: Click Generate Report and then choose if you wish to include your Stripe fees in the report. If so, enter the fees. When running this report, pad the report by a day at the start and end to make sure your local time covers Stripe’s UTC time zone. Note that due to the way Stripe rounds its fees and groups transfers, this report may look slightly different than one run through Stripe.
  • Sales Tax: Run this report to see how much sales tax you’ve collected. You can also see how much of your sales were tax exempt or nontaxable.
  • Select the date range and account filter if applicable.
  • Click the Generate Report button.
  • Your report will open up in a new window. You can now print, email, open the report in Word or Excel, or save it as a HTML or CSV file.
  • Click Close to close the report, and Close again to exit the Reporting window.
