For offerings like a birthday party you may desire to charge a deposit to hold the time slot. Here’s how send a deposit to Point of Sale. Note that you can only send a deposit for offerings that require a deposit.
- From the main calendar window, double click on the specific event to bring up the Manage Event window.
- Select the customer and click the Send to POS button to bring up the Send to POS window. Select Deposit; the deposit amount will be the amount you specified when you created the offering. If you wish, you can change the deposit amount and the system will recalculate the final balance automatically.
- Click OK to launch the Point of Sale system. The customer and the deposit product will automatically be loaded. Proceed with checkout as normal.
- When you go back to the booking, you will now see that deposit has been applied to the total paid.
- Click Close to finish.
