Changing the price of a product

If the price of a product changes you can easily update it in the Manage Products window.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Manage and select Products to open the Manage Products window.
  2. Select the product and click the Edit Product button to open the Edit Product window.
  3. Under Primary enter the new price in the Retail Price field.
  4. Click OK to exit the Edit Product window, and Close to exit the Manage Products window.  

 

Changing the vendor for a product

If you change vendors for a product you can update the product to reflect the new vendor. Note that you will first need to add the vendor to the system.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Manage and select Products to open the Manage Products window.
  2. Select the product and click the Edit Product button to open the Edit Product window.
  3. Under Primary use the Vendor drop-down menu to select the new vendor.
  4. Click OK to exit the Edit Product window, and Close to exit the Manage Products window.

 

Changing the name of a product

If the name of a product has changed you can easily update it in the Manage Products window.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Manage and select Products to open the Manage Products window.
  2. Select the product and click the Edit Product button to open the Edit Product window.
  3. Under Primary enter the new name in the Product Name field.
  4. Click OK to exit the Edit Product window, and Close to exit the Manage Products window.  

 

Changing the category for a product

Depending on your product mix, you may want to change the category, account, or sub-account of a particular product. You can easily do so in the Manage Products window.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Manage and select Products to open the Manage Products window.
  2. Select the product and click the Edit Product button to open the Edit Product window.
  3. Under Categories & Accounts use the drop-down menus to select the following:
  4. Display Category- This determines the product category tab the product will display in POS
  5. Account- You can choose to use a different account type or check Same as display
  6. Sub-Account- You can add a sub-account if applicable, such as separating prepaid and EFT membership products or kid shoes and adult shoes
  7. If you want to create a new category or sub-account just type the new name into the field.
  8. Click OK to exit the Edit Product window, and Close to exit the Manage Products window.  

Making a product inactive
If you have a product you currently don’t sell you can make it inactive. This allows you to hide the product from POS without having to delete it.

  1. In the Data Entry main window click Manage and select Products to open the Manage Products window.
  2. Select the product and click the Edit Product button to open the Edit Product window.
  3. Under Product Activity check Inactive Product.
  4. Click OK to exit the Edit Product window, and Close to exit the Manage Products window.
