Some British facilities use a different customer model than American facilities. Because of this, the terminology used in Rock Gym Pro may be slightly different than what your facility uses.
In some British facilities, a customer registers to become a member by paying a one-time fee. This entitles them to discounted climbing rates. They can then buy a Climbing Pass for a single session or a longer period of time (1 month, 3 months, 1 year, etc).
In Rock Gym Pro, a Membership is equivalent to a Climbing Pass, in that someone has paid to access the facility for a period of time. A Guest is someone who is in the system but doesn’t have a membership, such as someone purchasing a day pass.
So, a British registered member without a prepaid climbing pass is a Guest in Rock Gym Pro; a British registered member with a climbing pass is a Member in Rock Gym Pro.
If your facility wishes to track registered members (members who have paid the one-time fee), you can create a custom policy called Registered. This would then get checked when the member pays the registration fee. You can also set that policy to alert if not checked, alerting your staff to collect the higher rate for unregistered guests.
