Changing the maximum number of participants for a specific event

Sometimes you know you’re going to be shorthanded and need to limit how many participants can attend that day, or perhaps you want to allow more participants for an event that usually only allows a handful. Here’s how to change the maximum number of participants for just one event without having to modify the whole offering.

  1. From the main calendar window, double click on the specific event to bring up the Manage Event window.
  2. Click on the Event Modifications button at the bottom of the screen and select Modify Event Properties.
  3. Click the Custom Maximum Participants checkbox and enter the new number of participants.
  4. Click OK to finish.
  5. Note that the new limitations will only apply to this specific event, but will not apply to all sessions of that event, not just the day you’ve selected. In addition, this will override any limitations set by assigned resources for the event.
