Using rules to create multiple timeslots for a single offering

If you want to offer multiple timeslots for an offering like private lessons, there’s no need to create multiple offerings. Use the rules function to create multiple timeslots in a single offering. In this example we’ll create a one-hour private lesson offering with the following timeslots: Monday-Friday at 4pm and 6pm, Saturday at 11am, 2pm and 5pm, and Sunday at 2pm and 5pm.

To get started, let’s create the offering itself:

1. On the main calendar window click Manage Schedule.
2. Click on the Schedules tab.
3. Click the Add button and select Add Offering. Give the offering a title (we called ours Private Lessons) and click OK.

Now let’s define the days and times the private lesson offering is available to book. We’ll start with the weekday rule.

1. With the offering selected, click the Add Rule button to bring up the Edit Repeating Rule window. Check Days of Week and select Monday-Friday. Click OK.
2. Click Add Time. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 4pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.
3. Click Add Time again to create the second time slot. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 6pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.

Next we’ll create a rule for Saturday.

1. With the offering selected, click the Add Rule button to bring up the Edit Repeating Rule window. Check Days of Week and select Saturday. Click OK.
2. Click Add Time. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 11am and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.
3. Click Add Time again to create the second time slot. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 2pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.
4. Click Add Time again to create the third time slot. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 5pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.

Finally, let’s create a rule for Sunday.

1. With the offering selected, click the Add Rule button to bring up the Edit Repeating Rule window. Check Days of Week and select Sunday. Click OK.
2. Click Add Time. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 2pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.
3. Click Add Time again to create the second time slot. Select Time Slot, a starting time of 5pm and a duration of 1 hour. Click OK.

When you’re finished your offering should have three rules that look like this:
