Purchasing, Registering, and Connecting Stripe Terminals

Note: Stripe Terminal is currently only available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.

This guide walks through how to purchase, register, and connect Stripe terminals so they can be used for payment processing in Rock Gym Pro with Stripe Custom.

Before You Begin

Make sure your Stripe account and environment are fully set up before ordering or connecting terminals.

You should have:

Step 1: Purchase Your Stripe Terminals

Order your terminals through your payments dashboard.

  1. Go to payments.rockgympro.com

  2. Navigate to the Terminals tab

  3. Click Order Terminals

  4. Enter your shipping details and complete the order

Notes:

  • Terminals must be ordered through your Stripe Custom account

  • If you have trouble placing an order, contact support

Step 2: Register Your Terminals

Once your terminals arrive, you’ll register them to your account.

  1. Plug the terminal into a wall outlet (do not connect it to a computer). Plugging them into a computer will likely NOT be enough power over time.

  2. Power on the terminal and allow any updates to complete

  3. On the terminal:

    • Swipe to Settings

    • Enter the admin PIN: 07139

    • Tap Generate Pairing Code

  4. In payments.rockgympro.com:

    • Go to the Terminals tab

    • Click Register Terminal

    • Enter the pairing code shown on the device

  5. Confirm registration

You should see a confirmation message on the terminal once registration is complete.

ℹ️ Tip:
Give each terminal a clear name (for example: Front Desk, POS 1, Retail) to make setup easier later.

Step 3: Connect Terminals in Rock Gym Pro

After registering, connect each terminal to a workstation in RGP.

  1. Close and reopen RGP Data Entry

  2. Go to: Manage → Settings → Payment & Billing

  3. Set Point of Sale to Stripe Terminal

  4. Click Configure

  5. Select the appropriate terminal for that workstation

  6. Click OK to save your changes

Repeat these steps on each POS computer.

ℹ️ Terminal selection is workstation-specific. Make sure each computer is assigned the correct terminal.

4. Test a Transaction (Recommended)

Verify everything is working before going live.

  1. Open the Point of Sale

  2. Start a transaction

  3. Select Credit Card

  4. Confirm the terminal activates and processes the payment
